Please read this important information about closure of Prairieview Road this week:
Prairieview Road will be closed between Golf Rd and Franklin Blvd this Wednesday Oct 9 (possibly Thursday) for culvert replacement.The road will be closed just south of Golf Road.Franklin Blvd will be accessible from the south.Barricades will be placed at Tin Cup Rd to warn of Road Closed to Thru Traffic. Champaign County Highway Department will set up a detour for traffic that needs to access Prairieview north of Golf Road.They expect to have the signs down and the road back open around 5pm on Wednesday.

We need your help! The crossing guards at the corner of Division and State Streets are there to help our kids cross those streets arrive safely to school and cross again safely in the afternoon. It is illegal to disobey a stop sign being held by a crossing guard. Thank you for your cooperation!

Sec. 11-203. Obedience to police officers. No person shall wilfully fail or refuse to comply with any lawful order or direction of any police officer, fireman, person authorized by a local authority to direct traffic, or school crossing guard invested by law with authority to direct, control, or regulate traffic. Any person convicted of violating this Section is guilty of a petty offense and shall be subject to a mandatory fine of $150.

This morning was the first meeting of the high school STEM Club. A big thank you to STEM Club sponsors Mr. Garrison, Mr. Koker and MS graduate Andrew Walmer. This club is supported by a U of I grant and meets Mondays at 7:15 am in Mr. Koker’s classroom at the high school. STEM Club is open to all interested MSHS students.
